Artist of The Week

The set equals the outputs of Janet Jackson's 'Rhythm Nation 1814,' Bruce Springsteen's 'Born in the U.S.A.' & Michael Jackson's 'Thriller.'

As previously reportedDrake presides over the Billboard Hot 100 chart (dated July 14), as "Nice for What" returns to No. 1 for an eighth week on top and the superstar rapper/singer charts a record-breaking seven songs in the top 10 simultaneously. Concurrently, Drake's new LP Scorpion launches at No. 1 on the Billboard 200 albums chart with the biggest week of consumption for an album in 2018.

Among Drake's numerous achievements this week, Scorpion becomes only the fourth album ever to generate seven top 10 Hot 100 hits, and the first since Janet Jackson's Rhythm Nation 1814 between 1989 and 1991.

Here's a look at the elite four LPs to have spun off a record seven Hot 100 top 10s each. Prior to Drake and Janet Jackson, Michael Jackson initiated the achievement with Thriller in 1982-84, followed by Bruce Springsteen's Born in the U.S.A. in 1984-86.

Notably, Michael Jackson is credited on two of the four such sets and, while the first three albums to join the exclusive club did so via a steady succession of singles promoted to radio, Scorpion reflects the immediacy of streaming, as five of the set's tracks appear in the top 10 for the first time this week upon the album's chart arrival, four of which debut in the top tier.

Plus, Scorpion is the first album of the four below whose seven Hot 100 top 10s all chart in the top 10 together; in addition to "Nice" at No. 1 and the five songs new to the region, "God's Plan" rebounds 9-4.
